During the fourth quarter of 2023, the carpooling and ridesharing app market in Saudi Arabia saw notable activity on the iOS platform. Data from Sensor Tower highlights the performance trends of the top five apps: Uber - Request a ride, Bolt: Request a Ride, Jeeny - جيني, Ego | The Ride Hailing App, and Careem – rides, food & more.

Uber - Request a ride experienced fluctuations in weekly downloads, reaching a peak of approximately 21.6K in late September and then gradually declining to around 17.5K by the end of December. Despite these changes, the app maintained a strong user base with weekly active users fluctuating between 466K and 553K throughout the quarter.

Bolt: Request a Ride also saw varying download numbers, starting at 18.8K in late September and ending the quarter at 16.1K. Active users showed a slight decline from 126K in late September to 112K by the end of December, indicating a relatively stable but slightly decreasing user engagement.

Jeeny - جيني demonstrated a steady increase in downloads, starting at 15.5K in late September and peaking at nearly 19.7K in early December. Active user numbers remained fairly stable, fluctuating between 94K and 108K throughout the quarter, highlighting consistent user engagement.
